Beginning Integral Yoga
Rather than the sequence of warm-ups and postures I have been using for
decades, this course layers in
more gradually—for two purposes: one is greater sensitivity to the body’s need
for small steps of incr4easing intensity, and the other is an allowance of time
for profound discoveries of psychological resources that come to one after each
warm up and posture. This is the bird-in-the-hand confirmation that Yoga is far
more than a physical workout for the body; it also may provide us, not just in
the meditations, but in the warm-ups and postures, too, with just what makes
Yoga a richer, more integral resource than your garden–variety fitness effort.
